building is raely the bottleneck now. you have all kinds of tools these days. the real pain is how to build something people want. LEarning to build shouldn't be isolated from learning to sacle. so, we're here to help you figure that out.

WEEK 1
WEEK 1
IDEAS ARE JUST STARTING POINTS.
IDEAS ARE JUST STARTING POINTS.
IDEAS ARE JUST STARTING POINTS.
The first week is all about getting your idea down, but not obsess over it. Too many people don't move beyond this point because they're trying to find the "perfect idea." The secret is: you don't find the perfect idea. It's just starting point. Find something that is compelling to you right now, and start building it.

Action: Set a hard deadline on the you'll work on. No more coming up with new ideas after the deadline.

build your mvp or the first version of your idea.

build your mvp or the first version of your idea.
You have an idea. The idea is probably really cool, and really ambitious too. Now, you could spend 3 years working on an idea and go nowhere with it (we've seen this a lot). Or you could spend just one week making a shitty version of it, show it to some people to get feedback. I promise you, this would be way more fun and give you clarity on if your idea has legs or needs tweaking.

Launch a demo and get people to care about it.

Launch a demo and get people to care about it.
You know how we pushed you in week 2 to get an MVP out asap? If you built one and got at least three people to try it then you probably have a way better idea on what to do now. You don't wanna keep building stuff in a cave. You might think it's okay…but it's way more fun to have people use/watch/play with what you're working on. That's what this week should be about. Share your creation with the world again. After all, you put in the work and time for it.

Action: Refine your MVP (but don't go overboard). Make a demo showing how it work. post it x/yt/linkedin/ig/where ever! Here's a pretty good example of a demo on x.

WEEK 4
WEEK 4
iterate your idea.
iterate your idea.
iterate your idea.
This week is either great or depressing if you made it this far lmao. Great b/c your idea took off! Or bad b/c three things are happening…(1) your idea doesn't feel all that exciting anymore (2) your idea is harder to build than you thought or (3) other people aren't as excited. If you're here, take a breather. This is totally normal. Remember in week 1 we said that "ideas are just starting points." Your idea and MVP in its current form isn't the final evolution. You just gotta build on top of it.

Action: Week 2 + 3 got you at least 10 people that could give you feedback. Reach out to them. Ask them about the good, the bad, and the ugly to what you're building. Bonus if you read this book on how to talk to potential users.

adapt with feedback.

adapt with feedback.
You talked to at least 10 people last week to get feedback. Like, you really asked the right questions (see bonus from week 4) and got solid feedback, then you'll have some ideas on what to build or what to get rid of. Pick 1-2 things to build out. Focus on making it useful to the people you talked to. Don't aim for something perfect.

Action: Take the feedback you got last week and figure out which idea to implement. And launch again! Share it with the people that gave you feedback, and try to get more people to check it out.

rinse and repeat. perfect your demo.
You have all that you need by now. You know how to lock down an idea to test it out. Build the simplest version and get in the habit of immediately sharing it with people. Find ways to get real feedback. Now you just gotta rinse and repeat these steps. 6 weeks is totally possible to figure things out. Just go ask ChatGPT "what products were built in 6 weeks?" and you'll some familiar faces :)

Action: You have a decent thing built out for your idea now. It's probably not perfect yet. But it's huge progress. Congrats. Now, launch another demo. Don't try to be fancy with filming, editing, or special effects. Just something that is straightforward with the writing + video showing what you're building is perfect.
